Perfection Fresh and Tess Fresh Unite  to grow Convenience in fresh produce

 Perfection Fresh is announcing today it will be taking a controlling interest in Tess Fresh, a leader in the fresh food industry creating and producing processed and packed fruit & vegetables for customers all around Australia. Following several years of working together collaboratively the acquisition will be finalised on 5th September 2022. 

This new investment for the Perfection Fresh group will combine the operational capability & expertise of Tess Fresh with the national scale, retail customer relationships and consumer & product understanding of Perfection Fresh; bringing new opportunities to fresh produce convenience and ready-to-eat for Australian consumers in the years ahead.

To compliment and expand on our current capabilities in fresh prepared and ready-to-eat fresh produce, Tess Fresh broadens that capability to unlock value for the entire value chain beyond where we are today” said Michael Simonetta, CEO Perfection Fresh, “convenient, ready-to-eat products will extend the Perfection Fresh portfolio beyond its current range, and that is a critically important component of our current strategic plan.”   

Steve Tesoriero, Director of Tess Fresh has welcomed the development recognising that “Tess Fresh is a perfect fit for the future growth plans that Perfection Fresh has. Our existing customers, as well as potential new ones, will benefit from Perfection’s national sourcing and distribution network. We’re extremely proud of what the Tess Fresh team has achieved over the past 30 years in the fresh produce industry” 

“A focus on staff & our existing customer & supply partner relationships is vital to the success of this evolution, there’s enormous potential and opportunity ahead” assured Tess Fresh Business Manager, Chantelle Tesoriero, who will be joining Perfection Fresh management to lead the Convenience division following the deal.  

The complete integration of these two fresh food businesses is expected to take several more months, with work sites for both organisations remaining the same for the time being. The priority for the entire team is to focus on meeting existing customer needs now and into the future.
